Vi, familjen Johansson från Sverige, längtade efter en spännande och minnesvärd semester och valde Barcelona, Spanien, som vår destination. Med vår bil fullpackad med resväskor och glädje gav vi oss iväg på den långa resan ner genom Europa. Vi, mamma, pappa och våra två barn, 12-åriga Julia och 7-åriga Oscar, var redo för soliga dagar fyllda med äventyr, bad och lek i denna pulserande stad. 

Resan ner till Barcelona: 

Resan var lång men spännande, med pittoreska vyer och intressanta stopp längs vägen. Vi tog oss tid och njöt av att upptäcka sevärdheter på vägen till Barcelona. Vi körde genom vackra länder som Frankrike och Andorra innan vi äntligen nådde vårt mål. Resan självt blev en del av äventyret när vi passerade genom olika landskap och upplevde olika kulturer längs vägen. 

Ankomst till Barcelona: 

Efter flera dagars resande anlände vi äntligen till Barcelona. Staden välkomnade oss med sin livliga atmosfär, vackra arkitektur och pulserande gator. För att göra vår vistelse så bekväm och mångsidig som möjligt valde vi att bo på både hotell och Airbnb-boenden, vilket gav oss möjlighet att uppleva olika delar av staden. 

Utforskning av Barcelona: 

Under vår vistelse i Barcelona var vi ivriga att utforska stadens sevärdheter och kultur. Vi spenderade tid på berömda platser som La Sagrada Familia, Park Güell och La Rambla. Barnen fascinerades av Gaudís arkitektur och förundrades över stadens färgglada gatuliv. En av våra mest minnesvärda upplevelser var vårt besök på den vackra stranden i Barceloneta. Där njöt vi av solen och badet i det varma Medelhavsvattnet. Barnen lekte i sanden och byggde sandslott medan mamma och pappa kopplade av på solstolarna och njöt av den fantastiska utsikten över havet. 



Skapandet av souvenirer och minnen: 

 att föreviga våra semesterminnen bestämde vi oss för att skapa något speciellt med våra fotografier från resan. Vi beställde en fotokalender där varje månad pryddes av en av våra favoritbilder. Att bläddra igenom kalendern skulle ge oss en chans att återuppleva våra äventyr och samtidigt hålla koll på våra planer och aktiviteter. En kalender för att hålla koll på allt som skall göras på resan ner rekommenderas också. Det finns stor risk att man kanske missar något eller besöker för många platser.

Utöver fotokalender ville vi också ha något som skulle påminna oss om vår underbara resa varje dag. Vi bestämde oss för att göra kylskåpsmagneter med våra bästa framkallade bilder från Barcelona. Varje gång vi öppnar kylskåpet möts vi av leenden och minnen från vår tid i Barcelona. Det är en enkel, men meningsfull gest som håller våra semesterminnen levande i vårt vardagsliv. 

Att skapa fotokalendern och kylskåpsmagneterna har gett oss möjligheten att förlänga glädjen och nostalgin från vår familjesemester i Barcelona. Varje gång vi tittar på bilderna kommer vi att bli påminda om de fantastiska upplevelser vi hade och den tid vi tillbringade tillsammans som familj. Det är dessa minnen och souvenirer som kommer att vara med oss långt efter att vi har kommit tillbaka till vardagen.

Best way to lose weight - Excersice!

So you want to know which is the best way to lose weight?

Body is like your bank account. You put in money and spend money. The difference in those actions is your balance. The same is with your body except you want the opposite, take out much and save little.

Many instructors and people understanding training claims running, cycling or swimming as the best method. I do agree to all those experts. But I also know that sometime it's hard to follow that kind of training methods. Why I know it? I have done them all and the only one that works it that one you can do for a long period not to say the whole of your life. The best way to lose weight is the one you don't get tired of.

Sport activities can be the best way to lose weight

This is an idea I have that if you like doing it you will keep doing it. Some activities are more effective then others but in the long run that doesn't matter since you will keep doing it for long. I am lucky enough to like Squash and that requires little time and not so much money. My daughter likes hockey which was not so lucky for me financially in the beginning. Hockey is a great sport but it will eat a lot from your wallet as well as from your body. I don't say to you that you should prefer some sport over something else. Just do it (hmm famous slogan but true).

Training activities can be the best way to lose weight

I have been running, cycling, swimming and done many other ways of training. But I have got fond of walking. Walking, this silly and simple way of training is something almost everyone can do. Okey so you are a real fatso? Don't worry you can start with short walks for around 20 minutes everyday. When done you should say to  yourself "I am the best". If you are a slim person don't be lazy, make a fast paced walk for around 1 hour or more. You will see it isn't that easy as you thought. Walking is for almost everyone who want the best way to lose weight. But if you prefer some other training method use what ever that is, the purpose is to do something and that is always better than nothing.

Lose weight fast!

So you want to lose weight fast? Maybe a marriage is coming up and your clothes doesn't fit!

I will write about severel different programs for you to follow but until those have been done here comes some general advices about how to lose weight fast.

Skip around 500 carbohydrate's per day and lose weight fast

In general a person needs around 2100 carbohydrate per day. The amount spending just to be alive depends on sex, age and weight. To loose weight over time you need to eat less then what you need. To lose weight fast you need to get less then 75% of your need. Wich means that you will only supply for around 1500 carbohydrate's per day.

To eat so little will make you hungry almost the whole time. There is hard to get around the hunger feelings when losing weight fast. If it was easy everyone would do it, right?

Skip breakfast or maybe even dinner to lose weight fast

If you are sloppy with your food and may think that you can skip breakfast just to get less carbohydrate and in the end lose weight fast, think again! There is no way you can skip food in order to lose weight in a consistent and long time manner. Remember that it was probably not respecting food that put you in this position in the first place!

What you need to do is to eat consistent over the day around every 3 hours. If you still feel hungry drink water (not cola, fanta or any other such product). Water stops hunger for a while. A personal note: When I am in bed at night ready to sleep and my stomach complains and I am so hungry it's hard to sleep, go up and eat a carrot or drink a big glas of water. It helps!

1-2-3 step program that can make you lose weight fast

  1. Eat less per day than your needs required (se Carb Calculator at bottom)
  2. Excercise, it can be easy or fast paced walking for around 30 minutes
  3. Sleep, take care of your body. If you don't rest you will catch a cold
If you eat less then you need and your intake is 500 carbohydrate less then needed you will lose around 1 pound per week if you follow my tips above. It will not be fun while you are at it but imagine the fun looking in the mirror when you can have the dress you want or pants fits perfectly

GI - Healthy Food? How can I now what to eat?

It isn't easy to know what is healthy or what isn't. Everyday new products arrives to the supermarkets and we get ton's of commercial from vendors.

"New ultra light Bla bla" - Typical headline for a new healthy product. But be aware of those headlines. First of all if it was healthy to begin with it doesn't need to be ultra light at all. The first warning was given in that headline. And second why do you need to drink or eat something that is x-light? There is plenty of options that is healthy to start with.

For instance you are thirsty! You feel for a Zero with no sugar at all, try water. Water is ultra light and passes thru your body easily. And water also help you digest your food at the same time.

I good rule is that food that has less colors and is white (e.g. potatoes, rice and pasta) all has very high GI and food with lot of colors or are dark has lower GI (e.g. beans, paprika, bulgur).

If you think it's hard to choose healthy food try to follow the simple rula above, dark colored food instead of white colored food. Then you are on your way to a healthier life.

A healthy way of living increases your chances of a long and a happy life when it comes to your medical status. Other issues like financial problem or how to raise your children is another thing. But of course if you feel good physicly you probably will do better in all areas overall.
